This release includes a broad set of improvements across Lobbie, with a strong focus on data security and cross-practice privacy, payments, integrations, and continued progress on the new Patient Portal and in-app Messaging. If you have any questions about anything below, reach out to support@lobbie.com.
Security & Privacy
- Sign-in now issues a fresh session each time instead of reusing an existing session cookie.
- Deactivated staff and admins are now fully signed out, their Developer API keys stop working, and a deactivated user can no longer reactivate themselves through a password-reset email.
- Outbound webhooks can no longer be pointed at internal network addresses.
- Patient identifiers are no longer left behind in the browser after filtering a list by patient or by invoice.
- The NPS signup reset action now requires proper authorization.
Bug Fixes
- Patients whose last name is "Null" are now fully supported throughout the system.
- Phone numbers in recently created area codes are no longer rejected as invalid.
- Corrected an issue where voided appointments could appear in a selection dropdown.
- Reopening Lobbie after a period away no longer shows an unexpected "inactivity" sign-out message that forced staff to log in twice.
- After a browser caches a damaged copy of one of Lobbie's files, reloading now recovers the app instead of leaving staff stuck on an error screen.
- Improved error messaging: some failed actions that previously showed no error now surface one, and certain clinical and controlled-substance actions no longer show two error messages for a single failure.
- A list filtered to a specific patient now shows that filter correctly when opened in a new tab (previously the list stayed filtered but the filter appeared empty).
- Editing a staff member now changes only the fields included in the save, across every staff-edit screen, preventing other fields from being unintentionally cleared.
- Fixed duplicate appointment-confirmation reminders when the initial messages were blocked.
- Social NPS: the Target NPS Score now correctly colors the Results table, and a review request no longer selects a random location.
- Task Dashboard filters are now remembered when the drawer is closed and reopened.
Forms & Intake
- Patients can now access their forms when an account requires date of birth but the patient does not have one on file.
- Patients on older versions of Safari can again attach files and photos to a form.
- User notes within a patient form now appear in correct chronological order.
- Form completion status is now accurate — forms no longer show as "started" when no one has answered them, or as "not started" when they already contain answers.
- Removing a form from a patient and adding it back now returns the patient's completed form instead of a blank one.
- "Download All Files" on a form's uploads now produces a complete, correctly matched zip.
- Forms for an appointment on the day before clocks spring forward are no longer marked due a day late.
Appointments & Scheduling
- Changing a recurring appointment series to fewer days per week no longer leaves stacked duplicate appointments on the calendar.
- Practitioner scheduling now shows an overlap warning when editing availability, and correctly evaluates overlaps after a block's location is changed.
- Staff are now prevented from deactivating a scheduler configuration that still has upcoming appointments.
- Appointment confirmation cards now show the practitioner's name.
- Deleting a scheduler configuration now reliably removes the record (previously it could fail silently).
Clinical Charts
- Searching a patient's clinical chart from an appointment no longer returns an error.
- Problem, medication, and diagnosis lookups now clearly indicate when a lookup fails instead of showing an empty list that looks like "no results."
- Viewing or downloading a chart PDF no longer cuts off clinical note information.
- Staff can upload documents to a patient's chart through the new file framework, and an unsupported file is now refused with a clear reason.
Labs
- Staff can now view Labcorp results within a patient's Lab Trends, including results received in the past.
- Fixed an error that appeared when staff viewed results for certain LabCorp orders.
- Corrected Labcorp HL7 message building so intended default values are no longer dropped.
- Lab tasks are no longer created when the lab-task feature is disabled.
- Adding a lab vendor now opens a drawer with the correct title.
Controlled Substance Log (CSL)
- Controlled substance logs now display for a patient without needing to apply a filter first.
- The "Expired" status now appears in the container selection dropdown.
- Fixed an intermittent issue where the same user could appear as both signers on a wasting-log signature.
Payments
- Added support for taking a payment on a card-reader terminal.
- Subscription and invoice notes now sync to the corresponding MX subscription/invoice memo.
- A $0 one-time order now completes as a paid invoice, while $0 subscriptions are blocked with a clear message.
- Adding service line items now reliably registers the added item.
- Cards carried over from the previous payments system are no longer hidden when a patient pays online, and can be marked as primary.
- The Refund option is now hidden on legacy invoices that have already been refunded.
- When a patient pays with a new card in the portal, any processing fee is now shown before they pay.
- Connect-to-MX-Merchant: staff can see a patient's MX connection status, connect a patient to an MX customer and import their cards, and are prompted to connect a matching customer at billing time. Connecting now also works when more than 20 MX customers match.
- Gift cards: bonus value now expires automatically via a nightly sweep; refunds now return value to the originating card; and we fixed cases where a card could be overspent by two people at once or where a draft order could turn a gift card into a recurring charge.
Note: Payments V2 is rolling out via guided migration, so some of the items below apply as an account is migrated.
- Large accounts now cut over faster, and the migration is more resilient — it tolerates the nightly payment reconciliation running at the same time and fetches the payment details it needs for payments taken after cutover.
- An administrator can now carry over payments that MX no longer has, instead of the migration stopping.
- Fixed dropped subscription charges when a card's billing country was stored as a full country name, and corrected a case where re-billing a draft re-displayed the draft instead of a new bill.
Integrations
- GoHighLevel: appointments booked in Lobbie now sync reliably — we fixed cases where a booking silently never reached GoHighLevel (including new patients with no date of birth, and appointments GoHighLevel rejected), and where appointments created in GoHighLevel did not sync back to Lobbie.
- GoHighLevel: moving an appointment to another calendar no longer leaves the old appointment behind, checking a patient in no longer re-sends confirmations, and Lobbie no longer creates a duplicate opportunity for a patient already in another pipeline.
- GoHighLevel: SMS notifications no longer get stuck in a retry loop when a contact can't be resolved, and Lobbie stops trying to update an opportunity after the practice deletes it.
- GoHighLevel: appointment-to-GoHighLevel sync outcomes are now recorded in the integration audit log for easier troubleshooting.
- Dr. Chrono: fixed forms not auto-populating to Dr. Chrono.
CRM & Reporting
Note: CRM / Patient Census reporting is still in BETA.
- Census Trends now shows all patients by default and adds "No Location Set" and "No Practitioner Set" filters.
Patient Portal Access & Sign-In
- Front-desk staff can now invite a patient (or a verified guardian) to the portal directly from the patient's record.
- The Portal Access tab now appears on first login without needing a manual refresh.
- Added a "portal status" column to the patients table.
Performance & Reliability
- Clinical lookups no longer freeze the staff interface.
- The form template list loads faster and is no longer re-fetched on every visit.
- The staff task counter no longer polls the server heavily from idle tabs, and enterprise reporting users no longer reload scheduler data on every staff page.
- A dropped backend connection can no longer leave a request hanging.
Partner API
Note: This feature is still in active development.
- Fixed a case where the invoice-detail endpoint could return a generic error for some Payments V2 invoices.
New Patient Portal
Note: The new patient portal is still in development and not yet broadly available.
- Patients can choose which clinic they are using in the portal.
- Patients can view their resulted labs, with range indicators where available, and download the PDF.
- Patients can see and complete assigned forms, view past-due forms, and revisit completed ones — including seeing the forms they still need to complete on their home page and starting an appointment's forms from the appointment itself.
- Patients see their provider's colors and fonts, along with a time-of-day greeting and tagline, on the portal home page.
- Canceled and no-show appointment statuses are now supported in the patient portal.
- Refined button label capitalization for consistency.
Messaging
Note: Patient messaging is still in development and not yet broadly available.
- Staff can start a new conversation with a patient, and patients can reply — including sending an attachment-only message.
- Staff can attach documents to a message, including labs and clinical charts from the patient's chart or files from their computer.
- New messages and replies appear live for both staff and patients without refreshing, and an open conversation updates in real time regardless of who it's assigned to.
- Patients can see that their message was delivered and know what to expect next.
- Staff are notified of new patient messages without having to watch the Messaging page, can see an unread conversation count in the sidebar, and can filter and page through Messaging without loading every thread.
