Cross-Feature Macros is now in General Availability.
Watch the video to get a better sense of macros:
What are "macros"?
You can think of macros as shortcuts to add large blocks of "boilerplate" text in certain fields. For example, for in-house labs, you may have some common verbiage that you always add to the Lab Notes. Rather than copy/pasting this text from some notepad, or having to type it repeatedly across charts, you can type the special character "/", get a list of your configured macros, and then select a macro that will add pre-defined text into the field.
Using macros, you can much more swiftly run through charting of common text.
Macro features
- Configure Macros under "Settings"->"Macros"
- Any user with the "Admin" role can edit/create/remove macros across the entire account
- Users with only the "User" role can edit/create/remove only macros that they own, though they will be able to view macros that are shared with them.
- Connect the macros to specific areas in Lobbie:
- Controlled Substance Logging: Used in the Comments section for administration and wasting logs
- In-House Labs: Used in the Lab Notes section
- Charting: Used in specific text area fields on clinical notes that have been enabled for macros. Contact support@lobbie.com for enabling macros on your clinical notes.
- Communication Log: Within the patient profile, when you add a communication log entry you can now use macros if you have them configured.
